Sara O'Donnell
Sara is an experienced educator, reflex integration specialist, and founder of North Star Reflex Integration, a community-focused organisation dedicated to supporting children, families, and schools through developmental movement programmes. Based in Wirral, Merseyside, Sara has spent more than 25 years working in education and child development, combining her background as a qualified teacher with her experience as a former research scientist for two government agencies.

As an RMTi Consultant and Instructor, Sara specialises in reflex integration approaches designed to support focus, emotional regulation, coordination, learning, and social development. Her work helps children and young people overcome challenges linked to retained primitive reflexes, with programmes tailored for schools, educational professionals, parents, and individuals.

Sara is also a published researcher and advocate for neurodevelopmental support strategies. Her research on reflex integration and emotional regulation in fostered children has been published in the Journal of Neurology and Experimental Neuroscience, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practice and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Known for her practical, engaging, and compassionate approach, Sara has worked with more than 80 schools alongside Wirral Local Authority, delivering training and support that empowers educators and families alike. Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience as a SEND parent, she is passionate about helping every child build stronger foundations for learning, confidence, and wellbeing.
